Outline for intro

Work has been a bit crazy the last couple weeks as we approach the release of our scalable reporting platform. All very exciting, but not conducive to getting schoolwork done. In the spirit of any progress is better than none, here's my outline for my survey introduction. This can probably be pared back to be an intro for the CISS paper:
