I did a local orienteering meet today. Boy, am I out of practice. Slow in the terrain and my nav was super sloppy. I was on the fence about going to Kansas City for the Possum Trot. I'm not anymore. It would be a complete waste of time.
That said, it was a truly great day to be out in the woods. High 40's, partly cloudy, and no bugs thanks to our first freeze last night. A great day, even if the result wasn't.
