I hope my adviser will accept that explanation for why I have pretty much nothing to show for this week's work. My day job has been just a bit chaotic this week. Not really a surprise this time of year, but something I need to keep in check.
Getting over this hump is pretty crucial. If I can get the paper to a submittable state this month, using the summer for the literature review makes a lot of sense. Carving out 1 or 2 hours a day to read other people's work is no problem. But, I won't likely have the big blocks of time to work on my own stuff until after we go live with our big update in September.
