I ran the revamped theoretical section past my adviser today. He's generally pleased with it, but did have one more suggestion: can we prove that the algorithm works better than random sampling. It's intuitively obvious and supported by empirical evidence but, this is a math paper, so a proof really is in order.
I said, sure we could do that. Of course, by that I meant that I could do that with an additional 10-20 hours of work.
Sigh...
