More linear algebra

Anyone who has a kid in High School has heard, "Why do I need Algebra? I'm never going to use that." Well, you will if you do statistics for a living. And, as it turns out, you'd better be up on it for data mining tasks as well. I read through the second chapter of the primary text today, and it was packed with all sorts of non-trivial transformations based on eigenvectors. I'd write more about it, but, I'm tired. I'll put a substantive post together this week. Meanwhile, I'm really glad I spent the break shoring up Linear Algebra. Looks like I'm going to need it sooner than I thought.
