I decided I'd better add R to my skill set if I'm about to do a bunch of computational statistics. Fortunately, I already know Scheme, so this isn't really a big stretch. I downloaded the latest version of the language and an open source IDE called R Studio. Both seem to work pretty well, especially since I've got a pretty stout laptop at work.
