Design patterns and semantics

Spent some time yesterday looking for research applying Axiomatic Semantics to Design Patterns. Couldn't fine any. A few vague references, but nothing of substance.  I asked my prof at tonight's class if he was aware of anybody doing that and he hadn't (though, it's not his area of research). Anyway, I spent a little time at lunch today seeing if any of the patterns had obvious semantic structure and I think this is doable. Don't want to spread myself too thin, but even if I could get two or three of the patterns done, it would be enough to start shopping the idea around for some faculty support.
