I wish we had spent a bit more time on randomization and approximation in Algorithms because that's pretty much where my research is headed. It's being tacked on at the very end of the class, and it's little more than an acknowledgement that such methods exist.
At least the book has a decent bibliography, so it will help with future exploration. Meanwhile, I'll have to put it down because the clock is ticking on the final. 1 week to go.
